Four-Way Friday

Can I just say I miss documenting my outfits?!?  I'm too busy with other endeavors right now to do this on the regular, but today was my day off and by golly I wanted to work my closet in preparation for fall!! I picked up this striped top from Target last week and I just know it's going to be a wardrobe workhorse this fall/winter.  Each of these outfits was created with the striped boatneck top and gray skinnies from Forever 21 as a base.  From there I added accessories and played with different shoes to come up with the four different looks.  I could easily have created more by repeating the recipes for these outfits.  Wardrobe mixing is so easy when you learn the general concepts behind it.  Here is a lowdown of each look.

Look 1 | Edgy

To create this look I paired my moto vest ($10.48 via Target online!) with a pair of black studded booties.  I like the edge that this look has to it.  I love trying new trends and pushing the envelope when it comes to my personal style.  I have no problem with employing lots of different style genres to make up my own.

Look 2 | Traditional

I call this style tradition because it's my favorite fall combo: cute top, skinny jeans, boots, and a statement necklace.  I could easily come up with dozens of this kind of combo. Easy and traditional. Nothing wrong with that.

Look 3 | Boho

This outfit has a little bohemian vibe thanks to the flowy high-low tank I wore over the striped top.  Fall weather in Utah makes it easy (and often necessary) to pile on the layers.  That's why I gave this look a spin.  It's a great, unexpected way to layer this sage tank.

Look 4 | Simple

This outfit is another one of those die-hard combos that will never let you down.  How easy is it to throw on a scarf over a cute top worn with skinnies and a comfy pair of flats?  I could do it in my sleep!!  This combo is great for when you're short on time but need to look put together.  It definitely beats a pair of sweats and your ratty college tee.
