Summer Feet

I don't know what it is about the summer and little piggy toes peeking out from sandals and flip-flops, but it is one of my favorite things about summer time.  I can't tell you how many pictures I've taken of my children's feet during this time of year.  Most of said pictures are of their bare feet on the shaded cement or somewhere around our house.  I just can't get enough of the little bits that make each of my children unique.  For example: Wesley has a big toe that is reminiscent of a primates toe, which I love, and Liliane's ring-toe is hook shaped making it go a little crooked. (You can even see that in the picture above; she's in the yellow flip-flops).  These little quirks make up who they are and I love that.  A lot of the time these tiny little details don't seem like they are that important, but in all honestly, it's these little things that add up to their whole.  I want to remember this about them, and taking pictures of their toes is a great way to do just that.
