Scrap Again - May

Now that it is May (can you believe it is May already?!) I can share my projects I created using Scrap Again's May DT kit. The first one I did was one for my sweet Wesley.
Sadly this little boy is no longer as small as he was in the photo on this layout, but he is still my little boy. The journaling just talks about how babies aren't small for long and how I don't want to forget all the little details about him when he was this little. It also touches on how I am glad that I keep record of the little things about my children. Rickrack was the featured item in this months kit so in the "Small" layout I used it to string the banner together.

The second layout I did showcases a photo from November, 2010. It just celebrates the fact that we are a family.
I stamped the flower image in glue ink and then embossed it with black powder. The kit came with red paint so I spattered a bit of the paint onto the white card stock. (I wanted to make it a little messy mostly because I felt like experimenting. It was fun! You should give it a try!) I stitched my journaling lines with my sewing machine and loved the result. This is something I had never done before but will definitely be doing again because I love how it turned out! On both layouts I used the tiny attacher to adhere the rickrack to the page.
So there you have it. I have a little project on my desk that I am getting anxious to share, but it isn't quite ready yet. Stay tuned as there is definitely more to come on that.
