Here comes the story behind punching concrete. While at work yesterday, Jordan was breaking up some concrete on a job site up in Roy. He was working with a sledge hammer, and as he went to swing, the head of the sledge hammer flew off the end of the hammer. Jordan couldn't stop the momentum he had worked up for his swing, and with the head of the hammer gone, he lost his balance sending his left hand right into the jagged edge of the concrete.
Thankfully he didn't break any bones, but he sure did manage to tear up his hand pretty good. He had some pretty deep cuts, but after the doctor made sure there was no concrete debris in the wounds, they stitched him up and sent him on his way with some pain meds. He'll have to sport the splint for at least two weeks to keep from bending his fingers and tearing the stitches. I guess you could say that it's all in a day's work.
